Top Emerging Players in Euro Cup 2016



International football has always been a big platform for young players to shine. With the ongoing Euro Cup, there have been a number of spectacular performances from some of the youngsters. This has attracted the attention of several big football clubs and it is anticipated that they would become big money players for these clubs. In fact, the tournament also has an award for the emerging player. There are quite a few contenders for this award and it is to be seen who has the last laugh.

Eric Dier – England

One of the most prolific defensive midfielders in the England national team, Eric Dier has been like the wall for the England midfield. England has always been short of a good defensive midfielder and this Tottenham Hotspur player has played his part like a pro. Although England has not been able to make it to the quarterfinals or the latter stages of the tournament, this player has proved that he is one for the future.

Joshua Kimmich – Germany

Aged just 21, Joshua Kimmich has been a regular starter as a right back for the German national team. Joachim Löw has shown immense faith in this youngster and he has not let his coach down. The world champions have had to make several changes to their side because of injury setbacks, but Joshua is one of the players who has remained fit throughout the tournament and if Germany goes on to win the Euro Cup, he will definitely be one of the top contenders for the most emerging player in Euro Cup 2016.

Michy Batshuayi – Belgium

Striker of the Belgium national team, Michy Batshuayi has been one of the most mentioned names in this year’s Euro Cup. He has profited from the injury of Christian Benteke and although he is not one of the starters in the team, he has definitely made a mark as a substitute.
